FOR THE PEOPLE,
NOT THE POLITICS.

MEET DAN MIMS

Dan Mims is a lifelong Texan who knows what it means to work hard, build something, and give back. Born and raised in Channelview, Dan and his wife raised their two children in the same community that taught him the values of faith, family, and freedom.

After attending Texas A&M, Dan came home to grow his family business, Mims Meat Company, into a major foodservice distributor serving over clients across Southeast Texas. Under his leadership, the company created jobs and strengthened the local economy. He’s proven himself as a businessman who knows how to get results and keep people working.

Dan has also spent nearly two decades fighting for better education close to home. As trustee, officer, and chairman of the San Jacinto College Board, he helped modernize facilities, expand opportunity for students, and strengthen our workforce. His leadership helped San Jacinto College earn national recognition as one of America’s top community colleges.

Beyond business and education, Dan has always put service first. As past president of the North Shore Rotary Club, he helped provide scholarships to local students. At the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, he’s rolled up his sleeves as a vice chair and committee member, backing Texas kids, agriculture, and tradition. He has also stood up for families, small businesses, and local communities in state and national associations, always making sure Texas voices are heard loud and clear.

Now, Dan is running for Congress because Texans are tired of politics as usual. He’s not a career politician—he’s a job creator, community leader, and straight-shooting conservative who will fight for the people of Texas’s 9th District. In Washington, he’ll defend our values, protect taxpayers, back law enforcement, and keep government out of the way so families and businesses can thrive. Dan Mims works for the people, not the politics.

“I’m not a career politician. I’m a Texas Republican who built a business, served my community, and now I’m ready to fight for our faith, our families, and our freedom.”

- Dan Mims

ISSUES

  • Securing the Border and Protecting Texas Communities

Dan Mims knows Texas can’t thrive without safe communities. He will fight to secure the border, stop illegal immigration, and give law enforcement the resources and respect they deserve. Washington politicians have failed—Texas families are paying the price.

  • Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom

Dan was raised with Texas values of faith, family, and hard work. In Congress, he’ll protect religious freedom, defend the Second Amendment, and fight back against the woke left’s attempts to undermine the values that make Texas strong.

  • Growing the Economy and Cutting Red Tape

As a businessman who built a company serving thousands across Southeast Texas, Dan knows how to create jobs and strengthen the economy. In Washington, he’ll work to cut taxes, slash red tape, and get government out of the way so small businesses can grow.

  • Keeping Woke Out of Our Schools

With nearly two decades of leadership at San Jacinto College, Dan knows the power of education done right. He’ll stand up for parents’ rights, expand opportunity for students, and make sure our schools prepare young Texans for real careers—not Washington’s woke agenda or boys in girls’ sports.

  • Putting People Before Politics

Dan isn’t a career politician—he’s a proven leader who has spent his life serving his community. While insiders bicker, he’ll roll up his sleeves and get results for the people of Texas’s 9th District. His focus is simple: less politics, more solutions.
